SoShelli Halloween Challenge Card #3

I really had fun making this card. I love the new Autumn Harvest set. It kind of reminds me of carved and candlelit that was just retired. Here is card number 2 for the Halloween challenge. I had finally received my tasty sweet stamp set and wanted to use the candy corn image to make a card. I really love candy corn and circus peanuts..... YUM! So I decided to use the Top Note die again and make a sweet treat card. Hope you like it?

Celebration Challenge

So, here is the card that I came up with for the Celebration Challenge that Shelli Gardner CEO and co-founder of Stampin' UP! has on her website. I noticed while going through my stuff that I have more retired items than current ones. So, most of the stuff I used is retired. I hope that was okay? Summer and Fall are my favorite Seasons and Christmas is definitely my favorite Holiday! I decided to make a fall celebration card since we are now transitioning from summer to fall. Creating this card was a challenge for me because I don't use templates to create my cards. I create as I go so I never know how the card will turn out. I really need to start making templates to cut down on the time it takes to create my cards. The card may look a little blurred because I scanned it instead of taking a picture of it. The envelope is stuck to the card using dimensionals so it was hard to get the scanner to pick up the left portion of the card.

Here is a list of the items that I used.

Paper: Really Rust, More Mustard, Whisper White, DSP Summer Picnic and DSP Creepy Crawly (retired)

Stamps: Loads of Love, Send a Celebration (retired), Year Round Fun II (retired), Whimsical Alphabet (retired)

Ink: Many Marvelous Markers Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, More Mustard, Old Olive, and Garden Green, Versa Mark ink Pad

Accessories: Big Shot die cut machine, Bigz Scallop Envelope, Emboss Stacks Earths Maize (retired), Hemp Twine, Glue dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Paper cutter, Emboss buddy and heat tool.

Non Stampin' Up products: Stampendous embossing powder in Black and Carnelian

Introduction

Okay, so I have now made a blog for my creative projects. I just hope that I can keep it updated better than the family blog I have going on right now. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Taanasa and I'm a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. I have been with Stampin' Up since 2006. I started out being a hobbiest as I am very new to the fabulous world of stamping. I was hooked on all that Stampin' Up has to offer from the first workshop that I attended. Unfortunately for me, I have not been able to be with my upline since she is in Okinawa and I'm in Croatia. I was blessed to meet a fellow Demonstrator when we lived in Kazakhstan 2006-2007. She and I started a monthly crop and had lots of fun with the group that we started. She taught me many techniques and I'm so grateful for her opening up more of what stamping has to offer. Since moving to Croatia in 2008, I have been steadily adding to my supplies and working on different techniques. My goal is to be in a place to where I can start making my business work for me when we return to the states in '09. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would love to hear them. I really wish I could have attended Convention this year but plan on hopefully making it in '09.

I still have not received my new Fall-Winter Idea book and catalog. That is one of the disadvantages of living overseas. All my mail takes about two weeks to reach me from the forward address in the states. I just received my Big Shot on Friday and was very excited to play with it over the weekend!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that I can make some online buddies to share my creative juices with.
